Gutter Girlz Prompt 15

http://www.guttergirlz.blogspot.com/

The PROMPT:I take that LIFE back, Thanks!!
The SONG:Stronger Woman by Jewel
The PRODUCT/TECHNIQUE:Wire

My Take:

This picture was taken in Sept 2007 when Stacey, Jackie and I went to Colorado for my 30th birthday. The picture was taken in Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park, which was pretty breathtaking. I bent the copper wire for the word "life" and the embellishment at the corner. After having Kayla, moving twice, being a wife and having a demanding career, my own life was put on hold for quite some time. This trip to CO signified a change in the priorities I had in my life at that time.

Gutter Girlz Prompt 14

http://www.guttergirlz.blogspot.com/

The Prompt: Still Hurting
The Song: Not Ready to Make Nice by the Dixie Chicks
The Product/Technique: Pins/Sewing Needles

My Take:

I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap when I saw this prompt. I had a very toxic boss for about 4.5 years who ruined a lot of who I was. When this picture was taken, I was pretty much at my worst (despite the smile). I was sick, had lost a lot of weight and was generally in a pretty shallow place. I used pins to tack some thoughts to the N, along with the prompt word.

THE PROMPT: Do what I'm Tellin' YA!!
THE SONG: Bossy by Kellis
THE PRODUCT/TECHNIQUE: Electrical Tape
My take:

These pictures were taken by Michelle when we were in Chicago visiting my family this past summer. I'm so not a bossy person, so the title for me is being sarcastic (for those who know me). The pictures caught me in less than appealing 'situations' and I have learned in life to laugh at myself (as opposed to ripping the pictures up), because if you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at? Used electrical tape for the journaling bit.

Christmas Cards 2008

These are cards I made mainly with the Wassail papers by Basic Grey. They were given to Seth's clients.
